Thinking positive or at least trying to...

We've all had rough days.

Like the time Elizabeth didn't want to sit with me at Kindermusik because Evie was there with us, so she sat with another mom- Oh wait, that was Tuesday! ;)

Or the time we were hoping to go with Elizabeth's friends from story time to a local indoor playground, and Evie had a little baby meltdown (hungry and tired), so we had to go home.  This of course resulted in a very mad toddler too.- Oh wait, that was TODAY!

But regardless of all the piles of laundry, tons of cleaning, looming deadlines for data analysis, pressure to finish the editing project, commitments at church, days filled with time out or screaming infants, and my self-imposed pressure to open an etsy store, I'm still happy to be where I'm at.

Because a year ago, I was getting peed on, but not by a baby.  Try small furry rodents.

I worked crazy hours and wanted more time with my sweet little girl.

My commute to work easily took two hours for a 20 minute drive. (I had to drive and then take buses into our lab)

I lived in a place that 90 degree temperature with 100% humidity is totally normal in MAY!

And now,

I get to play tea party with Elizabeth and Mr. Duck.

I get to listen to my baby sing in the car to her favorite songs on the way to do something fun.

I get to make Evie laugh by just smiling at her.

I get to watch Evie explore her world...

Even if it is with her mouth. ;)

Some days are harder than others.  I've lost my temper and done some things I'm not proud of, but I can honestly say,

I wouldn't change it.

Just remind me of that tomorrow, when Elizabeth whines for the 400th time that day. ;)

Good for you for keeping a grasp on the positive things. And the whining they eventually grow out of, same with the jealousy (I'm living proof of both), so keep that chin up! You're doing a great job. :)
