I confess, I'm a mixed up crazy bag 'o mommy.

It's that time of the week, time to confess all those things that make life fun, annoying, and everything in between.  So after enjoying my lovely confessions, head on over to Mamrazzi  to read everyone's confessions or to join in and confess yourself.

Lately, I've been a big ole bag of crazy emotions.  You can see my crazy below...in fact let's count the crazy. ;)

I confess,

That I haven't done this in a month, and I feel bad about it.

I miss it.

Most importantly, I miss all the people that drop in to say hello and of course, all the people I get to visit as well.

I'm a little disappointed that I haven't been good about keeping up. But I guess that's life.

Emotion #1- Disappointment

I confess,

That I'm jealous of my oldest daughter, Elizabeth.

She's in swim lessons this week and next.  Every day we walk into the pool area, and I wish it were both of us in the water.

I may be a pasty white girl, but I LOVE to swim.  Hence, the jealously.

Emotion #2- Jealously

I confess,

I am super proud of Elizabeth too.

She is going underwater, kicking really well, and listening to her instructor.

She was a little afraid to jump in today, but that's been it.

Emotion #3- Pride

I confess,

That I was a little bit miffed that Elizabeth didn't believe me when I told her I was a dr.

You see we got her a dr's kit, and I got out my old labcoat for her to wear.

It's a nice one.  No blood or excrement on it, but instead my name embroidered.  It's a "show" labcoat, not like the ones I actually wore when I was in the lab.

So I told her it was my coat...and she told me mommy wasn't a dr.  I don't care about the title part, I mean I have never had my students address me as dr, but it bothers me that she didn't believe me.  That I could be dismissed so easily.

And then I thought, this is a small glimpse into the teenage years...and I shuddered.

Emotion #4- Frustration

I confess,

That I took advice from Blue's Clue.

Yeah, the tv show.

Steve said when you are frustrated to take a step back and breathe.  Then think.

I took Steve's advice today...ok, I took it a couple of times.  Sad part, Steve's a pretty smart guy when it comes to frustration.  I actually felt a lot better.

Then I instantly felt embarrassed that I took emotional advice from a show for preschoolers.

Emotion #5- Embarrassment

I confess,

I was super happy last night.

I got dinner on the table, and Mark asked Elizabeth if it smelt good.

She said, "No, it doesn't smell good, it smells great!".

Earlier when we made cookies.

I was feeling pretty good at that point.

Emotion #6- Happiness
I confess,

That I was mowing our yard the other day and the belt broke before I could finish.

Now thanks to all this rain and humidity, our yard looks like a jungle.

Very annoying.

Emotion #7- Annoyed

I confess,

I got angry this morning because Evie woke us up at 4 am.

Yeah, I got mad at this cuteness...no one said I was mom of the year, though.

I usually don't mind getting up, but I went to bed at 12:40...then night before that 2 am.

I need sleep. If I don't get sleep, I get cranky.  But I also want to get things done...therefore, I stay up late.

Emotion #8- Anger

I confess,

That I have felt all of these emotions in the last 24 hours, some in the last 6 hours, and a lot in the last two hours.

What does this prove?

A) I'm a woman and capable of emotions.  (technically, I know men have emotions, but don't try to get them to admit to that)

B) I'm a mommy on a rollercoaster called "Preschooler".

I confess that I'm not Super Mom, but I wish I was...

I confess,
I wish I had a clone of me.

Someone who could just do the housework or my part time job.

Just one thing, because then I could manage the other five things that need to get done...in that MOMENT.

I confess,

I'm trying my best to let messes lie, so that I can spend play time with my girls.

They are only little once, and I want to sing, play, laugh, and get messy with them.

So someone else is going to have to do the laundry, or I need to just forgo sleep.

I confess,

That I looked at our summer schedule and we are SUPER BUSY.  I'm seriously going to need a major break.

M- craft day at home- this usually involves paint- so the second half of my day I clean up paint. ;)

T- Kindermusik for BOTH girls.  One is at 9:30 the other 5:30, in between I work and the girls hang out with Grammy.  It makes for a LONG day.

W-Shopping day- usually just grocery shopping, but errand day too.

R- Summer reading program at the library.

F- FUN day- which means museum, theme park, parks, or splash pad!

I confess,

Elizabeth is starting to have her dolls talk to each other now, and I stand outside her room and listen.

It's adorable, and I hear myself "talking" quite a bit.

Confused?  I'll give you an example-

"Now Belle, it's time to go night-night."

"Not yet, my darling.  I need to go to work first."

Can you guess which phrases I use??

I confess,

That I think Evie is in a growth spurt and is more fussy than usual because of it.

So when she falls asleep in the afternoon, I LET her sleep as long as she wants.

My mom always says, "you never wake a sleeping baby".

Guess what?  She's. Right.

I confess,

That this past Tuesday, I danced the polka with a 3 month old.

Yes, I said the polka.

And yes, I did also say 3 month old.

Just chalk it up to another weird thing that I never thought I would do as a mom...but yet I have done it.

My little Polka Dancer.

I confess,

That one of the other moms at Kindermusik is just a little too perky and put together for my taste.

I mean, I'm all for a positive attitude, but I'm lucky I made it there at all, let alone dressed, and if I am really lucky with cute top rather than one of my raggedy old t shirts and a pair of jeans.

She on the other hand has full makeup, a cute outfit that includes high heels with her matching shorts, and is chatting up anyone who can hear about her baby.

It's a little much and yes, I feel bad to say that too.

I confess,

I proudly invented a mommy badge yesterday by mistake.

You see we did some crafts yesterday because Summer reading doesn't start until next week.  I had some stickers on my shirt.

I forgot it was on my shirt and went through the drive through...but I figure it was just proof I was a mommy.

Hence the Mommy badge.

I confess,

That I was the ONLY mom that didn't have socks on their baby at Kindermusik.

I felt like an enormous failure.

Then again, I was the only second time mom there and it was 97 degrees outside.

That kind of heat makes socks a little redundant.

At least that's what this mom thinks...and if you don't believe me just check out the mommy badge. ;)

I confess I'm totally random

I confess,

That I haven't done this in weeks, and I feel really bad I haven't.

I enjoy confessing.  I also enjoy linking up, but I'm not great about getting to everyone's page.

Don't get me wrong, I try really hard.  But something always stops me from getting to everyone.  My apologies to those I miss.

I confess,

That nap time is one of my favorite parts of my day.

So I'm not going to win Mom of the year for that statement, yet it's true.  I love being home with the kids, but after awhile even a saint needs a break.

I see nap time as me time. I work, craft, clean, or rest.  No matter what I do, it's just me for a couple of hours and that's nice.

I confess,

That I'm mad at my cat.  He's clawing our stuff.

I. Have. No. Tolerance. For. That.

He's got cat toys and scratching posts.  He's even got four acres and trees to take his aggression out on...why does he focus it on the play mat in the nursery!?!

I'm not sure Pooh Bear can take much more...or me either.  Soft Paws might be in his future.

I confess,

I'm in LOVE with my new sewing machine.  Why?

It threads itself!!

It does beautiful work!!

It doesn't lose tension all of a sudden like my old one!!

I haven't even scratched the surface on what it can do. I'm so excited to do my first embroidery with it.  I've got a few things in the works for some friends.  I hope they like them. :)

I confess,

I really love comic book movies.  No wait, let me change that to- I really love comic book movies that I haven't read the comic book.

I'm a purist on my comic books, so I don't like it when they change a lot of stuff for the movie.

Which makes this summer awesome, because I was never a Green Lantern or Captain America fan.

But I am a fan of Ryan Reynolds and lots of eye candy on the movie screen.  Go Summer Blockbusters!!

(oh and sorry to my hubby- you're still number one to me!)

I confess,

That I'm a totally nerd.

I mean I just posted a confession about comic books.

Need further proof?

I'm giddy about our local theater's production of Beauty and the Beast.

Yes, you saw that correctly, I typed Beauty and the Beast.  It will be awesome.  They always do a great job, and it's my favorite one.

Only one bad part- no kids under 8 yrs.  Or wait maybe that's not so bad...  ;)

I confess I should totally apologize to my hubby.

It's that time of the week, time to confess all those things that make life fun, annoying, and everything in between.  So after enjoying my lovely confessions, head on over to Mamrazzi  to read everyone's confessions or to join in and confess yourself.

I confess,

That two weeks ago, I didn't want to clean the bathrooms, so I bargained with my husband so that he would do them. Even worse, I didn't come through on my end of the bargain. But I figure it's good to remind him what I do every now and again. ;)

I confess,

I always have cold hands and feet.  I warm them up on my hubby, which isn't fair as I really do have the hands and feet of the dead.  Sometimes he yelps when I put them on him.  Oops.

I confess,

That sometimes when my oldest daughter gets up in the middle of the night, I make my hubby go instead.  I figure I birthed her, so I should get a break, right?

I confess,

I have a fierce temper.  I don't take things well...but I pride myself that I haven't dumped a table of food items on him yet like my great grandmother did to my great grandfather.  Did I mention we're redheads?

I confess,

I hate when my hubby snores through a movie or tv show.  I'm not that interesting and have to have fodder to talk to him about...if he isn't awake then it just becomes one of those boring stories of me telling him what happened.  Or, I have to rely on my wits and as I said, I'm just not that interesting.

I confess,

I hate when he leaves clothes in the dryer to wrinkle.  I should appreciate that he does laundry and that he will usually fold and put it away too...but still it's so wrinkly!!

Well, hopefully he reads this and forgives me...in fact, he'd better or I'll start to rely on my wits and no one wants that.
