Welcome to We Want to Know Q&A Wednesday Hosted by Mamarazzi and Alicia aka Queso.

Queso is asking the questions this week and she want's to know...

{1} If you had an extra hour to do ANYTHING for yourself each day what would you do?

{2} Are you a morning person or a night owl?
{3} How much sleep do you get on an average night?
{4} When do you find the time to blog/surf the ol' interweb?
{5} What is the ONE thing you're never too busy for?

So I haven't done this before and it makes two posts today, but the questions spoke to me, so I couldn't resist.  I think I'm answering them as a desperate plea hope that someone will rough it out take pity on me and give me a night off for some sleep. Ha ha.

{1} If you had an extra hour to do ANYTHING for yourself each day what would you do?

So this is hard...an extra hour!!  Wow, what I could do...ok, so I'm narrowing it down to a few things.

1. Read a book I want to read.  Not a story book, music book, or text book.  A just for fun, fantastic novel.  Maybe Philip Gulley or Terry Pratchett, they are my two favorite authors at the moment (sometimes Vonnegut is number one too).

2. Crochet or Sew.  I'm a crafty type person and I haven't gotten to touch my stuff for a MONTH!  Why? Work...more work, and yep, you guessed it work.  No, in all seriousness, I'm still working two jobs at the moment and it takes a lot of time.  But that will change on Sunday, which is my official end date on my postdoc.

3. Baking.  I love to bake and fall is the perfect time for it.  Cakes, cookies, muffins...love it all!

4. Sleep.  I haven't been sleeping much.  I'll explain below.  I'm not a nap person either, but lately I could use one.

{2} Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Night Owl...but with work and kids, I'm usually up between 6-7:30 every morning.  The earlier I get up, the better the day usually goes. That way I can get more done. The only problem, I cannot turn off my night owl self, so even though I get up early, I still go to bed WAY too late.

{3} How much sleep do you get on an average night?

Right now, maybe 5 hours.  Which is sustainable for me, IF it's uninterrupted.  For about a week, Evie has been waking up at odd hours wanting to nurse.  She shouldn't need too and my sleep is getting shorter and shorter.  The day before yesterday I went to bed at 2 am and was up at 7:30, plus I had to nurse her at 4 am.  Now when she is sleeping well...I can sleep anywhere from 5 to 8 hours.  I'm not the best sleeper, but I'm not the worst either.

{4} When do you find the time to blog/surf the ol' interweb?

I used to only work from home and it was easy to find time.  I was always on my computer when the girls were asleep.  Now that I'm teaching, I'm online much less.  I spend a lot of time preparing lectures and reading text books, so I'm carving out time when I should be doing something else like class work or cleaning my house. I consider it a small thing to do to keep me sane, or you could look at it as spreading my crazy too...either way I feel more sane.

{5} What is the ONE thing you're never too busy for?

My family.  The girls are number one.  I left research to be with them, we go everywhere together.  If they needed me, I would be there.  This is not to say, I don't get upset or tired...or want a break from time to time.  I think that is only natural, but hands down my kids are it.

Ok, so the day I took off from my phone and computer was pretty good. I should do that more.
