Thoughtful Thursday

I've joined a local BSF group, and I'm learning so much about my God and faith.  I thought I would share a few nuggets of wisdom that I receive each week.  Not the whole thing, mind you, just something that struck me as a wonderful thought or truth.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and hopefully I will represent the organization well.  Here goes:

This hasn't been my best week.  I'm tired from lack of sleep, brought on by a combination of work and babies. So this week's lecture had a truth that really helped me feel better.

Life is full of what ifs and if I only could...

The real question is, do we trust Christ to handle those what ifs?

Do we allow Him to give us purpose and guide our life?

Because God gives us comfort and power in times of trouble, just like He did with Stephen in Acts.  

Stephen was martyred for proclaiming Jesus as fulfillment of Old testament law, but God displayed his glory to Stephen, giving him comfort in his final hours.

So no matter my trouble, big or little, God can and will be there!
