I wish I had a clone of me.
Someone who could just do the housework or my part time job.
Just one thing, because then I could manage the other five things that need to get done...in that MOMENT.
I confess,
I'm trying my best to let messes lie, so that I can spend play time with my girls.
They are only little once, and I want to sing, play, laugh, and get messy with them.
So someone else is going to have to do the laundry, or I need to just forgo sleep.
I confess,
That I looked at our summer schedule and we are SUPER BUSY. I'm seriously going to need a major break.
M- craft day at home- this usually involves paint- so the second half of my day I clean up paint. ;)
T- Kindermusik for BOTH girls. One is at 9:30 the other 5:30, in between I work and the girls hang out with Grammy. It makes for a LONG day.
W-Shopping day- usually just grocery shopping, but errand day too.
R- Summer reading program at the library.
F- FUN day- which means museum, theme park, parks, or splash pad!
I confess,
Elizabeth is starting to have her dolls talk to each other now, and I stand outside her room and listen.
It's adorable, and I hear myself "talking" quite a bit.
Confused? I'll give you an example-
"Now Belle, it's time to go night-night."
"Not yet, my darling. I need to go to work first."
Can you guess which phrases I use??
I confess,
That I think Evie is in a growth spurt and is more fussy than usual because of it.
So when she falls asleep in the afternoon, I LET her sleep as long as she wants.
My mom always says, "you never wake a sleeping baby".
Guess what? She's. Right.
I confess,
That this past Tuesday, I danced the polka with a 3 month old.
Yes, I said the polka.
And yes, I did also say 3 month old.
Just chalk it up to another weird thing that I never thought I would do as a mom...but yet I have done it.
My little Polka Dancer. |
I confess,
That one of the other moms at Kindermusik is just a little too perky and put together for my taste.
I mean, I'm all for a positive attitude, but I'm lucky I made it there at all, let alone dressed, and if I am really lucky with cute top rather than one of my raggedy old t shirts and a pair of jeans.
She on the other hand has full makeup, a cute outfit that includes high heels with her matching shorts, and is chatting up anyone who can hear about her baby.
It's a little much and yes, I feel bad to say that too.
I confess,
I proudly invented a mommy badge yesterday by mistake.
You see we did some crafts yesterday because Summer reading doesn't start until next week. I had some stickers on my shirt.
I forgot it was on my shirt and went through the drive through...but I figure it was just proof I was a mommy.
Hence the Mommy badge.
I confess,
That I was the ONLY mom that didn't have socks on their baby at Kindermusik.
I felt like an enormous failure.
Then again, I was the only second time mom there and it was 97 degrees outside.
That kind of heat makes socks a little redundant.
At least that's what this mom thinks...and if you don't believe me just check out the mommy badge. ;)

I confess I miss you guys terribly and can't wait to visit. have I told you about Brand's granny visiting?? She said the one thing she regrets is being a stick in the mud and always being worried about cleaning the house and doing laundry and keeping the yard clean. She said she's afraid she missed out on a lot of fun... I can't wait to be that smart!
you sound like a super mom to me.
your summer sounds fab...busy is a good thing, but i can understand the possible need for a clone!
thanks for linking up!
